In light of the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, La Folie Lodge remains vigilant and has implemented the necessary measures to provide a safe environment for our guests and employees.
Our teams are constantly reminded to maintain good personal hygiene through preventive actions and are being trained on upholding our safety standards as well as to local law requirements and the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
La Folie Lodge always has and continues to follow the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness with frequent disinfection of all high-contact areas, using BioSafe’s non-toxic cleaning products as well as disinfection of our rooms prior and after each guest’s stay.
Other precautionary measures include temperature checks for our guests and employees when entering the hotel. Employees are required to wear masks when handling food and beverages, or when cleaning and sterilizing tables, chairs and other facilities. Also, when cleaning and sanitizing our guest rooms and suites prior and after each guest’s stay and many more.
Furthermore, social distancing is encouraged in all public areas, such as the restaurant, pool, and meeting areas.

Enjoy the swimming pool at sunset, cycling around the lovely Done Daeng island, or meeting with the locals is only a glimpse of what the surroundings offer. The Vat Phu, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a 15 minutes boat ride away and the Boloven Plateau as well as the 4,000 islands offer great excursions’ opportunities.
On the island
Enjoy Don Daeng’s authenticity: unspoiled sand beaches full of with fishermen and lazy buffaloes, wild forests and enchanting birds, plains of rice fields, local small villages with one floor typical wooden houses and numerous Buddhist temples, by foot or cycling.
Outside the island
La Folie Lodge is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Southern Laos, ranging from the vat Phu temple to the 4 000 islands, or drinking a local coffee on the Bolaven Plateau after 18 holes on the Pakse golf course.
