From its inception in 2007, La Folie Lodge has been deeply embedded in the local community. Embracing the spirit of Don Daeng, the lodge employed nearly exclusively local artisans who meticulously crafted the lodge using exquisite indigenous timbers. Over the years, the lodge has fostered a strong bond with the community, extending unwavering support through various initiatives, including school renovations, medical dispensaries, and infrastructure development.
This enduring partnership has culminated in our pursuit of Travelife certification in 2023, marking a remarkable 15-year journey. Aligning with the rigorous standards of this esteemed certification, we are working toward this new chapter for the lodge, solidifying our commitment to sustainable and responsible practices. We are immensely honored to be the first hotel in Southern Laos to embark on this transformative journey.
